Nov20 2025,Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and Councillor Neethan Shan (Scarborough-Rouge Park) officially opened the 94,000-square-foot Rouge Valley Community Recreation Centre in Joyce Trimmer Park today. The facility provides residents of all ages with a hub for health, learning, and community connection.

The design reflects extensive public consultation and the community’s diverse needs.

Mayor Chow said, “This centre offers something for everyone, bringing people together and supporting families. It reflects the sports, cultures, and passions that make Scarborough a vibrant community.”
