TORONTO, June 10, 2026 – The press conference for the 8th Real Estate Expo, hosted by the Canada-China Realty Professional Association (CCRPA), was held in Markham on June 10. The event brought together real estate developers, realtors, industry representatives and community leaders to discuss current market trends and introduce preparations for the upcoming annual expo.

CCRPA President Steven Sun said in his remarks that although Canada’s real estate market has faced challenges in recent years, including high interest rates, rising financing costs and a more cautious market sentiment, population growth, continued immigration and community development needs continue to provide support for the industry. He said the expo aims to build an open and effective platform for communication and cooperation, helping the real estate sector integrate resources and inject new momentum into the market.

Guests attending the event included CCRPA Founding President and Honorary President Paul Huang, Honorary President lawyer Banggu Jiang, Markham Ward 8 Councillor Simon Cui, Markham Regional Councillor Alan Ho, Yee Hong Foundation Chair Stephen Siu, real estate industry representative Vincent Chen, and Emily, a representative of 95 Developments.

According to the organizer, the 8th Real Estate Expo will provide a face-to-face platform for real estate developers, realtors, investors and related industry professionals to connect, exchange information and explore new opportunities under the current market environment.
One of the key projects introduced at the press conference was Zun Yue Residence, a Chinese senior living community project located near Woodside Square in Markham. According to project materials, the development plans to include about 300 senior residential units, with a total area of more than 200,000 square feet. The project is positioned as an integrated senior living community combining residential living, health management, cultural activities and community services.

The project team said Zun Yue Residence is designed around the language, cultural background and lifestyle needs of Chinese seniors. Planned services include health management, daily living support, community activities and senior care support. The project also plans to include multi-purpose activity spaces, wellness facilities, cultural exchange areas and recreational amenities, with the goal of creating a senior living environment that supports both quality of life and a sense of community belonging.
Guests at the event said that as the Chinese senior population in Canada continues to grow, demand is also increasing for senior living communities that reflect cultural needs and provide professional services. Senior housing and senior care services are becoming an increasingly important direction within the real estate market, bringing new opportunities for the industry.
The organizer said that in the current market environment, more companies are looking to strengthen brand promotion and client connections through in-person platforms. This year’s expo welcomes real estate developers, realtors, mortgage and financial institutions, and related service providers. To encourage more companies to participate in industry exchange, the expo is offering more attractive exhibitor options, with the goal of helping businesses increase exposure, build partnerships and discover potential opportunities.
The organizer welcomes real estate and related industry professionals interested in exhibiting or cooperation to register and participate. The 8th Real Estate Expo is expected to be held soon, bringing together multiple real estate projects and related businesses to help the public learn about market updates, homebuying and investment information, while also creating more opportunities for industry professionals to connect and collaborate.
